If you didn’t make it out last year, (or even if you did), come check out Dallason Park this year! The City and Eagle Scouts have joined together to upgrade the picnic shelter/pavilion area. That’s going to be a huge upgrade and a great place to visit with friends and family. And if you have little ones, bring them out to ride the dragonfly, which landed in the park last year! And, of course, don’t forget to stop by the garden when the weather warms up.
As always, Dallason Park is the perfect place, even socially distanced, for gardening, harvesting veggies, playing, relaxing in the sun and just enjoying some time outside in this special little spot in Casper.
We love our volunteers, City of Casper employees, Wyoming Food for Thought Project, and so many others who’ve been instrumental in making it all happen. If you’d like to help the park or can donate toward the purchase of a tree, please visit our Opportunities to Help page and find out how. Most of all, we hope you can come out and enjoy this little patch of paradise at Burlington and Melrose.
Friends of Dallason Park represents a community. A community that cares. Friends of Dallason Park was founded to revitalize, re-energize and renovate Casper’s Dallason Park into a welcoming, friendly place that will draw children and adults alike. A park that will encourage activity, gathering, and creativity!
Our goal is to create a playscape that all ages can enjoy; to create a welcoming space that encourages families and friends to get together to picnic, play, read, and relax; and to add to the natural surroundings with shade trees, benches, and places for silent reflection.
We’ll also continue to maintain and enhance the beautiful Food is Free garden that our good friends at the Wyoming Food for Thought project so generously started at the park.
We have great ways that you can help, including donating a tree or bench in memory or honor of a friend or loved one. Check out our Opportunities to Help page to find out more!
Friends of Dallason Park isn’t just a project. It’s you. It’s me. It’s all of us.
It’s a community. A community that cares.
